Mirror Lake - 7/20/03

This was a lot of fun. A nice hike up to this lake which is close to Mt. Hood with our friend Dave and his kids.
It was a little tough on Frankie and Johnnie because it was 1.5 miles uphill, and a pretty steep hill. But
the dogs made it and were just fine, after lounging in the lake and drinking half of it. haha
Everyone but I stayed back to watch the dogs and Riley. It was really pretty and not too hot.
This lake is probably around the 3500 - 4000 foot level.
We bought one of those hiking backpacks to put Riley in, so he rode up the trail on my back and
surprisingly, I wasn't that sore the next day. It really worked great and he had a blast riding in it,
laughing and bouncing now and then. The one thing I forgot to do was take a photo of me with Riley
in the backpack on my back. DOH!
